Blood-Fire Shrimp – Includes Shrimps Pack
Blood-Fire Shrimp – Reef Safe Cleaner Shrimp | Marine Invertebrate
The Blood-Fire Shrimp is a striking reef-safe cleaner shrimp admired for its deep, blood-red coloration and elegant appearance. Its vivid red body makes it stand out instantly against live rock and coral, adding both beauty and function to reef aquariums.
This species is generally hardy and well-suited for a wide range of marine systems. Blood-Fire Shrimp prefer aquariums with ample rockwork, caves, and ledges where they can establish shelter and cleaning stations. While they may not always be seen actively cleaning fish, especially in established tanks with low parasite loads, this behavior is completely normal in captive environments.
Like all shrimp, the Blood-Fire Shrimp regularly molts its exoskeleton as it grows. During molting, it may remain hidden for several days. This is a natural process and not a cause for concern. Once the molt is complete, the shrimp will reappear and resume normal activity.
Blood-Fire Shrimp are excellent scavengers with a strong ability to detect food in the aquarium. Although they will help clean leftover food, they should still be target-fed regularly to maintain optimal health and coloration. They readily accept a variety of meaty marine foods and will occasionally leave their territory to collect food items.
This species is peaceful and reef safe, making it an excellent addition to mixed reef systems when housed with compatible tank mates.
