Light Pink Capnella Leather or Spaghetti Leather Coral or The Sinularia Leather Coral or Kenya Tree Coral is commonly referred to as Flexible Leather Coral, or Soft Finger Coral. It can be recognized from other members of the genus by its short stubby fingers that have multiple branches. This coral can be found in shades of yellow, gold, or tan. 
Soft corals, or non-reef building corals, are flexible organisms that do not grow limestone skeletons like hard corals. Instead, they are composed primarily of living tissue which allows them to be rather flexible. This gives soft corals a plant like appearance which still being an animal.
The spaghetti finger leather coral stands tall thanks to tiny calcareous components called sclerites. These sclerites are spiny skeletal elements embedded in the coral’s tissue that offer support. The surface of a leather coral is called the coenenchyme and is covered in tiny polyps, called autozooids and siphonozooids. Autozooid polyps function is to capture prey to feed the coral. The siphonozood polyps pump water into the body of the colony to supply oxygen.
Like other leather corals, the spaghetti finger leather coral will shrink smaller and shed its top layer to cleanse itself. This natural process of cleansing occurs at different times and rates depending on the water flow in the tank and other conditions. When the leather coral reopens, it will be larger and more beautiful than before.
It requires medium to high lighting. Medium to strong water movement.
It obtains the majority of its nutrition from symbiotic algae zooxanthellae, but will benefit from additional food such as micro-plankton, baby brine shrimp, or foods designed for filter feeding invertebrates.
For continued good health, they will also require the addition of iodine, strontium, and other trace elements to the water.
It is a semi-aggressive soft coral and needs space between itself and other corals. This hardy fast growing coral is much easier to maintain in the home aquarium. Spaghetti Finger Leather Coral won't die from other corals, but the part that's touching will never look happy, as it's being irritated.

Others, like Clove Polyps, grow into star-shaped mats that wave gently, while Leather Corals often take on mushroom, toadstool, or cabbage-like shapes, adding structure and movement at the same time. Green Star Polyps (GSP) are famous for growing over rocks and back walls, forming vibrant green carpets that shimmer under blue light.

Unlike stony corals, soft corals don’t require intense light or pristine ultra-low nutrient conditions. They are hardy, forgiving, and adaptable, which makes them excellent for beginners—but they’re also loved by advanced aquarists for the natural “reef feel” they bring to a tank. They thrive under moderate lighting and medium to strong water flow, which helps keep their tissues clean and enhances their signature motion. Most rely on their symbiotic algae (zooxanthellae) for energy, but they also benefit from a bit of nutrient in the water and occasional feedings to support faster growth and stronger colors.

Soft corals grow by spreading, either through encrusting over rocks or by branching and budding new polyps. This makes them excellent for covering empty spaces and creating lush, flowing gardens. However, because they can spread quickly, it’s wise to give them room to expand or trim them back occasionally to keep your reef balanced.

Lighting: Low to moderate lighting is generally sufficient. Soft corals thrive under a range of conditions, with many showing their best coloration under balanced or slightly blue spectrum lighting.

Flow: Moderate, indirect water movement helps keep tissue clean and encourages natural swaying motion. Avoid overly strong flow that can cause the polyps to retract or tear.
