Information
Clove Polyps are a beautiful fast-growing soft coral that in many ways resemble both a Xenia and a Pipe Organ. They have soft feathery polyps that sometimes carry either an orange or green highlight. Their base forms a tube that the stalk extends from.
Lighting
Clavularia thrive under a wide assortment of lighting. Start with medium lighting to be safe.
Water Flow
Moderate to high water movement is recommended. Sometimes detritus accumulates at the base of clove polyps and stronger flow helps prevent buildup.
Feeling
Clavularia relies heavily on the products of their zooxanthellae but also may feed on phytoplankton and similarly sized microfauna in the water column.
