We are a licensed facility holding a valid Marine Hatchery Permit issued by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC). All coral sold is propagated in our indoor, shore-based, closed saltwater systems and meets U.S. legal standards for marine ornamental aquaculture.

Red Brick Cyphastrea Coral – 100% Aquacultured
The Red Brick Cyphastrea is a stunning encrusting SPS coral featuring a vivid neon orange base and glowing orange polyps tipped in rich red tones. This contrast creates a dramatic, fiery appearance that adds a bold splash of color to any reef tank.
At coralSLover, each frag is fully aquacultured in our indoor recirculated saltwater systems, starting from tiny, healthy starter pieces. We never cut wild colonies and sell them fresh—we grow our Cyphastrea slowly and sustainably, allowing them to fully establish and thrive before being made available.
 
Important:
Each frag is 1.5”+ and 100% aquacultured from a tiny, hand-selected starter piece in our fully controlled, indoor recirculating systems. We never chop wild colonies or sell freshly cut ocean corals. Instead, we cultivate every piece with patience and precision over time.
When you receive your frag 1.5"+, you'll notice its thin, shallow profile—a clear sign of true aquaculture. This is not a wild-harvested chunk, but a coral grown from scratch, layer by layer. As it matures, it will gain dramatic mass and depth, transforming into a bold, sculptural colony. This growth pattern is especially vivid in Bizarro Cyphastrea, making each frag a living canvas that evolves and stuns with time.
We don’t take corals from the ocean and slice them for fast sales—ever. What we sell is a responsibly grown, thriving coral—a piece of reef art with a future.
Cyphastrea corals are fast-growing by SPS standards and are among the easiest encrusting corals for beginners. Given proper conditions, you'll often notice visible growth within just a few months. These corals are also remarkably hardy, tolerating a wide range of reef conditions—including low nutrient environments where other SPS may struggle.
Lighting & Placement
Cyphastrea are low-light specialists. They prefer gentle lighting under 100 PAR, especially when newly introduced. High or even moderate lighting can cause bleaching or polyp retraction, so start in shaded areas and acclimate very slowly if moving to brighter zones. When in doubt, low light is always safer.
Water Flow
They do best with moderate, indirect flow to prevent detritus buildup on their growing surfaces. As they encrust and form more intricate shapes, they can trap debris—so periodic adjustments to flow may be needed to keep them clean and healthy.
Feeding
While they rely mostly on photosynthesis thanks to their symbiotic zooxanthellae, supplemental feeding can enhance their growth and coloration. Feed occasionally with Oyster-Feast, finely chopped mysis, or meaty microfoods to support maximum health and expansion.
