🧡 Jack-o-Lantern Leptoseris – LPS Coral Frag (1.5"+)
High Fluorescence | Ultra-Bright Orange with Neon Green Eyes

The Jack-o-Lantern Leptoseris is one of the most prized encrusting LPS corals in the reef hobby, known for its intensely fluorescent orange body and glowing green “eyes.” A favorite among high-end collectors, this coral stands out brilliantly under actinic or LED blue lighting, where it develops a glowing, almost metallic look.

✅ Frag Size: 1.5"+

✅ Coloration: Neon orange body with green eye centers

✅ Lighting: Low to moderate preferred (fluoresces best under actinic)

✅ Flow: Low to medium

✅ Placement: Shaded areas, under overhangs, or lower reef slopes

✅ Feeding: Primarily photosynthetic; feeding is difficult due to tiny mouths

✅ Growth Type: Encrusting plate

✅ Difficulty: Intermediate

💡 Care Notes:
Naturally found in deeper reef zones, Leptoseris thrives in low light environments.

Too much flow may prevent full polyp extension—keep it sheltered and stable.

Though difficult to target-feed, healthy specimens will flourish under proper lighting and conditions.

  • Leptoseris are commonly known as a wrinkle coral but almost no one in the hobby refers to this coral by its common name. Leptoseris were made popular a few years ago when bright orange color morphs came onto the scene and blew everyone away with their intense fluorescence. They are one of the most dazzling corals under actinic lighting because in addition to their bright coloration, they almost take on a metallic appearance.
